Skate Park Rules
Adopted by the RAP Board of Directors April 12, 2004
OPEN FROM DAYLIGHT TO DUSK SEVEN DAYS A WEEK
1) Skate at your own risk. Serious injury may result from being hit by a board,
falling, or colliding. This is an unsupervised facility. The City of Reedsport
does not assume responsibility for injuries.
2) This is YOUR skate park. Please take care of it. Do not tag it or you will be
introduced to the local police department on a formal basis.
3) The use of protective equipment is strongly recommended. They include Helmet,
Knee, Elbow, and Wrist Guards. Helmets are required by the state of Oregon for
anyone sixteen (16) years or younger. SB 795 Failure to use one may result in a
citation.
4) Skate Respectfully. The Skaters Code of Conduct is something to be proud of.
At this park, its one person at a time. If you fall, remove yourself quickly and
go to the end of the line.
5) Use the broom provided to keep the skate park area clear of debris. A clean
surface is a smooth ride.
6) Be a leader, moderate your language to such a degree others look up to you.
Keep the music volume down.
7) Use trash containers as provided. Trash your wheels and boards, not the skate
park.
8) Alcohol, Tobacco products, Drugs, and glass containers are not allowed.
9) Additional obstacles or materials, like ramps and jumps not part of the skate
park are prohibited.
10) Do not use the Skate Park when the surface is wet. This is VERY dangerous.
11) No bicycles, motorized vehicles, or scooters allowed.
